The Golden Horseshoe Chorus is where voices come together, friendships grow, and music fills the air. We’re a welcoming, not-for-profit community of daytime a cappella singers who love to share the joy of harmony.

What started in 2006 as a daytime Men’s Chorus with just 30 voices has grown into something truly special. In 2014, the GHC Women’s Chorus took flight and has been singing strong ever since, and in 2024, the GHC Mixed Chorus joined the harmony. Today, with more than 120 singers between the two groups, the Golden Horseshoe Chorus is more vibrant than ever. Whether we’re singing just for the fun of it or bringing smiles to audiences in the community, every time together is a chance to connect, laugh, and make beautiful music together.

Under the expert direction of our Artistic Director, Jordan Travis, we rehearse weekly from September to June at Port Nelson United Church in Burlington. No auditions are required to join our chorus – becoming a member is simple. Come to a rehearsal and check us out!

Singing Membership

Your singing membership includes full access to all rehearsals, performance opportunities with self-produced shows, as well as community engagements, as well as unlimited use of our online Member Portal. The portal features our full membership directory, event and engagement updates, sheet music, and learning tools to support your musical journey. The chorus runs from September to the end of June with a small break in December.

Membership Dues

  • GHC Women’s Chorus: $250 (Thursday from 10AM - 12PM)
  • GHC Mixed Chorus: $250 (Thursday from 1PM - 3PM)
  • Dual Membership (Women’s and Mixed): $275 (Includes a $25 administration fee for participation in both groups)
  • Joining us later in the season? No worries, your dues will be prorated accordingly.

While our minimum annual dues are $250, that amount only covers part of what it takes to keep the chorus thriving. If you’re able, we warmly invite you to consider a larger contribution. Your extra support helps us bring exceptional programming to life—amazing music, inspiring guest artists, beautiful venues, and more. Your generosity helps ensure this experience remains accessible and meaningful for all.
